Stupid Mercury

Did you know that Mercury's in retrograde for Shortpants's astrological sign? Well, it is. Has been for a few weeks, will be until March 7th. We're still not sure what that means, but apparently astrologists say we can blame all sorts of problems on Mercury being in retrograde. So Shortpants is going to say, thanks a heap, retrograde Mercury, for throwing monkeywrenches in the gears of every CTA bus Shortpants boards.

Also, blame retrograde Mercury for the fact that Shortpants has been lax in posting. Well, Mercury, and getting sick, and a certain visitor trying to drink Shortpants and the Shortpants boyfriend under the table for a few weeks.

Speaking of J-ro, Mr. Robards will be returning to Chicago for a signing event at Quimby's bookstore! Jason and his entourage (that's essentially Shortpants, the Shortpants boyfriend, and maybe a few other people that we can bribe. We'll tell them we're going to the fluffy-kitten and fresh-baked-cookie warehouse. Wanna come?) will be at Quimby's for the Fantagraphics BEASTS! release and signing event. Jason's got a piece in BEASTS!. It's very cool.

So that's March 9th, (two full days after Mercury stops being all retrogradey!) it's a Friday, 7:00 in the p.m. at Quimby's bookstore in Wicker. Be there or kindly be square.
